Hello COTH Family,

Now that the COVID numbers have decreased, we are going to start meeting in-person on the church patio. Please remember that you will still need to wear a mask and remain 6ft apart with people that are not a part of your family group. Both our 10 AM Sunday service and our 6 PM Wednesday Life Group will be meeting in-person on the patio. Our Wednesday 7:30 PM Most Excellent Way has already been meeting.

We will try to keep you updated as we get more information.

Hello COTH Family,

Due to the most recent Governors orders that churches cannot meet indoors coupled with the heat we are moving the service back online until further notice.

We will try to keep you updated as we get more information.

Hello COTH Family,

Due to the heat we are moving the service inside. Please be careful to follow the 6 feet apart and mask guidelines throughout the entire service. Per the Governors orders we will continue to not have worship until the order is lifted.

We will try to keep you updated as we get more information.

Hello COTH Family,

Though we will be open this Sunday for service, due to the Governors order on Wednesday that bans churches from singing and chanting, there will be a live sermon but no worship.

We will try to keep you updated as we get more information.

Hello COTH family,

Finally! I am excited to announce that COTH will be reopening for live in-person services on Sunday June 21st, 2020.

We have been working for the last three weeks to ensure a safe and smooth reopening. I would like to thank Randy Holtz for heading up our reopening committee.

Some things to be aware of about our service:

  • NEW SERVICE TIME: 10 AM - Plan on arriving early at 9:30 AM as it will take some time to seat everyone. Our service will be outside as to prevent any exposure to the virus.

  • You will be seated 6-feet from anyone else—except members of the same household may sit together.

  • We ask that everyone practice safe distancing and not congregate in tight groups.

  • There will be an intake center where you will be asked a series of questions, have your temperature checked, be directed to hand sanitizer, and be seated by an usher.

  • Everyone must wear a mask—if you forget one, we will provide one for you.

  • When church concludes, you will be dismissed row by row.

  • We will continue Live Streaming our service on Facebook and we encourage those in an at-risk category to consider staying home for now. For those who are still wary of public gatherings because of the increased risk of catching COVID-19, please follow your heart and stay home, watch the livestream online, and attend a Zoom Life Group. Attending or not attending is NOT a measure of your spirituality.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to email or call me.

I look forward to worshipping together again!

Dear Chapel of the Hills family,

What does the news about churches reopening mean for Chapel of the Hills?

As you already know, we have always considered ourselves and all other churches essential services. And we've never closed! We have more people in Life Groups now than before the COVID shutdown, as well as more people watching our service than physically attending before shutdown. We are also working with Making it Happen and other area churches to distribute and deliver groceries and meals to the needy.

Three weeks ago, in anticipation of reopening, we formed a task force to ensure when we reopen that we will be following best practices advised by the CDC, Governor Newsom, and our denomination to ensure as much as possible the safety of all attending.

We are happy churches can now meet in person. For COTH, I ask you to join myself and the elders in prayer for wisdom for when and how we resume in-person gatherings in a way that is safe for all our family.

It's important we remember we did not isolate out of fear, but out of love. Love is what guides us, and love is what binds us. Stay tuned for further updates!
