Why read the scripture publicly?
1 Timothy 4:13 says “Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching.”
On Saturday, July 9, 2022 @ 10 am we will have the second of a series of a public reading of scripture from Genesis to the book of Revelation. This event will cover the book of Exodus. 40 chapters, 1,213 verses and 32,685 words read out loud in its entirety.
Why do this? The Apostle Paul in Timothy gave the public reading of scripture equal importance alongside of preaching and teaching which is something that we do as Christians on a weekly basis. Each time the public reading of God's word occurred, as recorded in scripture, it had great impact on the community and lives were changed.
Join us as we read aloud the words provided by our heavenly Father and be refreshed and renewed.
Volunteer to read or just be a part of the audience and enjoy the experience. Any age reader can sign up to read.
10 am - 3 pm
People may come and go as they please.
